Buddee love!
The next day, Uncle John and Dawn took us to try some real Jersey hotdogs. After we had told them about how much we liked the RI hot wieners, I think they wanted to show off. So we went to a place called “Johnny and Hanges”. Apparently, in New Jersey, they deep fry their hotdogs. Pretty delicious.
Michael was graduating that afternoon, so when we got back, everyone was getting ready to go to the ceremony, but Kim and I just took a quick dip in the pool and then headed out for our other destination in New Jersey: Princeton, to see our friend Megan.

We made it to her house in a couple of hours where were greeted by Megan and her giant of a Golden Retriever, Skye. Soon we met Megan’s parents and we all sat around the back yard with glasses of wine and told stories about our trips in Asia. After a bit, Megan took us into downtown Princeton for some dinner. It was really nice to reconnect over a few drinks and a great dinner of gourmet sandwiches.
Afterwards, we were all pretty tired, so we just headed back to the house and got tucked in. Megan was nice enough to give up her bedroom for us!

The next day, we did a bit of research and went back into downtown Princeton where we explored a really old and famous cemetery were President Grover Cleveland and Vice President Aaron Burr are buried. It was a pretty hot morning, so we decided to get a cup of iced coffee and wait for Megan to get off of work. When she did, we had lunch at a hoagie shop that was famous for their crazy flavor combinations and heart stopping calorie intake. For example, the Mac Daddy: Hamburger steak, French fries, macaroni and cheese, bacon and hot sauce. It was pretty tasty.
We took our lunch and walked around the Princeton campus a bit, then sat down at a fountain where we were aloud to put our feet in and relaxed in the heat. When we finished eating, we went to a famous battleground of the Revolutionary War, where General George Washington beat back the British and changed the outcome of the war.
Next, we headed back to the house to help prepare dinner for all of Megan’s family; a delicious meal of green beans, redskin potatoes, and swordfish. It was outstanding and nice to have another home cooked meal.
When dinner was done, Megan took us to a haunted path near her home where a woman had committed suicide after being scorned by her lover. It was a beautiful evening full of fire-flies, and even though we didn’t see any spooks, it was a nice walk through the woods.
